Less showy, quiet and demure, well, the ones you might walk right by if you're not attentive. Here are some of our favorite demure dolls from Theriault's upcoming Marquis auction "The Memory of All That" this coming Saturday, November 21 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.
With more than 300 wonderful dolls and automata in the auction, you're certain to find the one for you. To view all of the lots in the auction "The Memory of All That" click here.

Coming to the auction is the most fun. Nothing is better than the excitement of bidding and winning in person. Meet new friends. Convene with old friends. To the City of Lights, and the Home of Jumeau, Bru, and so many Others, We Love you!
We dedicate this post to our friend Samy Odin of the Musee de la Poupee, and to my colleague PE who lives in Paris. Also, to Odile Roi, who was with us visiting when I was only 5. God Bless you and be Safe. My whole family has been to Paris, and my grandparents were married there. My beloved Mona Lisa is there, and so much that I love, that has helped shape me through out my life. My grandfather was on his way back during WWI; the war ended when he was on the ship, and he arrived to do recognizance. I bought my first real French doll, a little blue CanCan girl, at Orly Airport. Also, a lot of my family still lives in Europe, and I was born there.
We condemn this act of war, and we will pray for you in beautiful Paris and lovely France, who have given so much to those of us who love dolls and history.
