The Dolls of Glenda Rolle

There was a great article featuring the imaginative and wonderful dolls of our friend Glenda Rolle, written by the talented Mr. R. Lane Herron. It was published in the current issue of Doll Castle News, which we at The Museum love very much. Glenda has shared some photos of her fantastic and imaginative dolls which she has allowed us to share. I love the combination of sheer fancy and natural materials like sand in Glenda's work, and the little bit of the gothic and theatrical that inspire her work. She pushes the creativity of dollmaking, and the definition of "doll" to the limit, which is something I love to do, too.
