My About.com Newsletter for Week of 9/1

Doll Stories by Revalo, aka, Gebruder Ohlhaver and more for our Newsletter
I want to thank the readers who sent information about T. Recknagel dolls, and now, I'm on a quest related to Revalo and other unusual German dolls.  I love variations on a theme, and German dolls go way beyond the dolly faced and china head examples that are icons of doll collecting.  Let's explore them together!  Also, doll collectors are known for being generous, so I share with you a story about a beloved doll magazine editor, a school for Navajo children and magical Native American Dolls. We also celebrate a generous spirit and late colleague who was respected in her field and who was once the editor of a magazine we all enjoyed, "Doll Reader."  Finally, we're profiling a new line of Ballerina Dolls called My Ballerina, that portray the best of ballet and BJD dolls.  Happy collecting!  Remember, I love to hear from you, and would love to do another gallery of reader's dolls.  Themes possible, scarecrows, fall, Halloween, folk dolls, cornhusk, dolls.
