Below are images from the MacNider Museum. I took the photos. They are of the work of puppetter Bill Baird, who worked with Tony Sarg and others. With Sarg, who was also a renowned doll artist, Baird worked on Macy's Thanksgiving Day Balloons. Baird did the Sound of Music puppet. He did puppets for many other produccitons, cinluding The Wizard of Oz. There are nearly 100 puppets on display, most gifts of Baird and his family.
